The age policy for schools operating outside of the English/Welsh schooling system is that students who will be in year 10 or below if at school in England are welcome to compete – i.e. students who will be aged 15 or under on the 31st of August 2023.

We recognise that in some cases this requirement will fall into the middle of the school year, but after considerable discussion and analysis of previous years, we have decided that this is the fairest system.
